Vocaloid - Gumi - 1/8 - Mamama Style, Native

Hello. Today I am reviewing the Gumi Mamama Style Native figure. She was released on September 18, 2013 by the manufacturer Aquamarine.  She is 7.8 in. tall and her scale is 1/8.  Mamama is the illustrator and Umiyama Hiroshi is the sculptor.   I bought her for $88 including shipping from AmiAmi. 

Gumi comes in a really nice box. The front and back are windowed so you can see her inside her box. 

I really like her pose. She looks very cute.

Gumi's outfit looks amazing! I love the details   The paint job is great and her outfit is shiny.  I really love her goggles. 

I really am happy with Aquamarine's Gumi figure. If you're a fan of Gumi or Vocaloid in general, I highly recomend this figure. The details they added are just amazing. Here's one of my favorite songs from my 3 favorite Vocaloids

Shuffle! - Shigure Asa - 1/8 (Kotobukiya)

Today I am reviewing the Asa Shigure 1/8 scale figure by Kotobukiya. Asa Shigure is one of the 5 main girls from the visual novel game/anime Shuffle! This Asa figure was released on December 2008 for 7,140¥. I bought it at New York Comic Con 2009 for $60. There is also a limited edition long haired version of this figure.

The pose of this Asa figure is from the scene where Rin opens the bathroom door and Asa is in there doing her business. xD She is bent over pulling down her striped pantsu with an embarrassed look on her face. Her base is a plain white circle base with her name on it. She is screwed on the base so there is no worries of her falling off the base. She is also wearing slippers. :)

This is a very nice figure to look at because it reminds me of that very funny scene between her and Rin. Kotobukiya did a really nice job with this one. I recommend this figure to any Shuffle! and Asa Shigure fan.

Asahina Mikuru School Uniform [Wave]

Today I am reviewing Mikuru Asahina School Uniform ver from the anime/manga The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. This figure is a 1/10 scale PVC/ABS figure by the manufactuer Wave.  She was sculpted by Eye Up and was released on May 2009. She is part of WAVE's Treasure Figure Collection product line.

Mikuru Asahina is my favorite character in TMOHS!  This Mikuru comes with two faces, two arm parts and a paper for her to hold.  I really like her winking eye face. ;) I bought her on May 24th, 2010 from AmiAmi for about $35.  She comes with a nice clear pink SOS Brigade base. swapping her faces was a little difficult for me since she was my first figure with different face parts, but then I got used to it.  I prefer her winking face over the angry looking face!  The paint job is well done and the detail on her uniform is really nice as well.  This Mikuru Asahina figure is a must have for any fan of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya!

Lucky☆Star Hiiragi Kagami Summer uniform ver

Today I am going to review Kagami Hiiragi Summer uniform ver from the anime/manga Lucky Star.  This figure of Kagami is a non scale PVC figure from the manufactuer Atelier Sai.  She is sculpted by Cherry Blossom.  She was released on August, 2009. 

I bought this figure from http://www.hlj.com/ back in December 2009.  I'm a Kagami Hiiragi fan.  She is my favorite character and I've been wanting a figure of her and saw this version.  Even though this figure of Kagami is not that big, I still love it!  The paint job is really well done and the details are very good as well.  I love her twin tails.  Her eyes are one of the reasons why I love her.  Her pose is awesome the way she looks at you!  Her facial expresion is so awesome!  It makes you not want to mess with her or she'll beat you up lol. 

I love Kagami in her Summer uniform more than in her Winter uniform.  I prefer the blue skirt over the pink.  Also the yellow bow is reallybright and very nice.  Atelier Sai did a really nice job with the details on her.  They even added detail to her pantsu!  I was expecting her pantsu to be plain white.  I did not expect blue striped pantsu! 

In conclusion I really enjoy this figure of Kagami Hiiragi.  I was really satisfied with this awesome PVC figure. If you love Kagami Hiiragi, Lucky Star, or girls with twin tails, get your hands on this amazing figure and add her to your collection!
